the last weekend

the last weekend has arrived
awake and sitting by the downstairs window once again with a cup of coffee
almost ready to get to the ocean and surf baby waves for the last time
*ends up there were no waves and my muther got into a verbal confrontation with a moke...typical
then heading to simone's for a fantastic pool day!

and then picking up the kiddies for a fun baby sitting sesh

and then a little time for sleep
before

waking up and decorating cereal bowls and hats
and then heading to the beach for a day of building sand cars, scavenger hunting, and lots and lots of sun!

today is going to be a good day :)

the start of the finish

i am sitting by my window downstairs with coffee and bob dylan
after work today i shall be making crepes with Shannon :) mmmmm im glad to be re-taught how to make the delicious treats so that next year when i go to stay down in SD i can make them for breakfast

tomorrow is work and then walking diamond head with brookie before heading to this side of the island for a farewell dinner kathy and brooke :(

Friday is work and then a pool day with my simoner boner

saturday babysitting! followed by the PEPPER concert. oh so stoked! can't wait for it all

next wednesday is a lot closer than it seems eeeeeek!

so its been a while because on saturday night i came down with the flu and was bed ridden and miserable!
but before that

karaoke for amanda's last night
we got bus and sang our hearts out
and with the helpful instructors (Annie and Amanda) head butted our way through toxicity by system of a down

we followed this exciting and tone deft outing with some nice bonding at shaun's apartment where me and aunty kathy shared a chocolate cookie which was divine but had to be followed with me and haven going to star market and me buying a pack of pita bread and a container of humus and devouring the entirety of the humus and all but one pocket of pita yeeeeee!

the next morning i was delighted to wake up super early haha
and go to see the two twins Brycen and Brayden who's mom worked with my mom and who had attended the preschool a year earlier play baseball. I couldn't get enough of how tiny all the kids looked and how awsome it was to play baseball with almost no rules. of course their mom was ringleader of all the chearers and as soon as she arrived the noise level increased by 100. it makes me wonder what i looked like when i played baseball at their age :)

then the muther and i went for a nice surf sesh on baby waves at barbers point kalaeloa

and home for a quick nap before waking up
showering
and attending my cousins going away party

i felt fine the entire night and bonded with my mom and my aunties and it wasn't till we were helping to clean up when the aches started. hoping it was nothing, i casually mentioned it to my mom, but after entering the front door to my house and taking my temperature i knew that the truth was unavoidable. flu flu flu :(

ughhhhhhhh missing two days of work and being cooped in a bed for three i felt like i could just die! especially with no internet service, but voila! i am finally flu free though still have a bit of a cough and stuffed nose but still looking forward to

1. work followed by crepe making and a viewing of the time travelers wife
2. surfing with mama then spending the day at the beach with my friends (mikayla's last day :( )
3. North Shore!



PS. i have been trying most ardently to get a hold of this watch please help if you can. let me know if you see it for sale anywhere!

today at work i was once again the designated watermelon slicer. I enjoyed cutting the ice cold watermelon and snacking on the pieces that "weren't big enough for the kiddies"

after a quick run me and brooke walked around diamond head
we got to talk and catch up and talk about all the ridiculous people and things in this world
i gotta say brooke's one of the best for talks like that :)

ready to fall asleep and dream about friday just around the corner

what a fun couple of days

after work yesterday i drove to Amanda's house *so happy that the crazy girl is back :) it feels like she never left
and we all went to 7/11 (by Punahou aka our old stomping ground when we thought we were cool leaving campus and walking, since we could not yet drive, to the 7/11 down the street...also the place we decided to buy chicken curry manapua before tahitian tryouts and ended up throwing up :))
we bought snacks and drinks and then headed to the Shell to park so that we could split into teams for the grand scavenger hunt that Keely and Brookie aka the sicky babies and i made up a day or two before.

Keely made onolicious brownies that we ate even though they were sticking to the sides...im pretty sure mikayla got to them first but then again that could just be an educated guess ;p any way, they were delicious keely thanks!

after that we started the scavenger hunt running around waikiki doing classy things like

playing the penis game in an elevator
running through the streets yelling "it's not herpes if it's everywhere"
street performing
asking to try five flavors at an ice cream shop
asking for various murderous items like a steak knife, duct tape, trash bags ect. from an ABC store

we were glad that this was for Brookies 20th birthday and not her 14th

after staring at some children playing in the sand wondering how inappropriate it would be to ask if we could bury them (an item on the scavenger hunt list) and deciding that the approaching father might not approve, my team sat and waited for the others



we followed this wonderful late afternoon activity with a dinner at zippy's
on the way brooke was asked if she was a princess since she had a delicious smelling lei and a crown. I love kids for still believing that princesses can just walk through waikiki




zippy's was not zippy as usual but it WAS ono with portuguese bean soup and a boca burger

we all chipped in to help brooke buy her new phone! happy birthday girl i look forward to Sunday's celebration

today at work i blew up water balloons and made sure my mom kept the twins birthday cupcakes so that i could have one when i finished blowing up the balloons :)
i have been feeling extra tired at work and realized that it was because i haven't been excersizing so i made sure to run diamond head before rushing to the outrigger to say goodbye to keely :(

then i went home and baked red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting for my aunty barb's birthday on saturday. i can't get enough of the deliciousness of cupcakes! i also had a few spoonfuls of nutella and feel like a sugar child but hey this is all i will have till christmas soooooo ill eat as many cupcakes as i can :)
